The coronavirus pandemic has resulted in social distancing and a lockdown. Having to self isolate is such a long period, can trigger anxiety, depression, loneliness or stress. However there are several activities you can engage in, to combat this challenging times.
- If you are single, try online dating – In this age of technology, there are several dating apps available and this is also a great time to find a date/partner.You will have enough time to vet the potential partner since in-person dating is not a safe option at the moment. It usually takes 6-9 weeks to begin knowing someone for who they truly are.If you are married, spend time working on resolving conflicts and improving communication with your partner. If you are married with children, spend time creating long lasting memories and teaching your children core values they can hold on to for a lifetime.
- Meditation – spending time to meditate first thing in the morning and last thing at night can ease of tension.
- Journal – This is also a great time to journal down thoughts and ideas. This will allow you to introspect and evaluate where you are with yourself in life.

- Exercise – this is a great time to catch up with exercising and getting fit/healthy.
