How Seeking for Acceptance and Validation Can Impact Your Growth

Have you ever had to seek for acceptance and validation from others? Were you really validated based on the opinions of others or was the validation temporary?
We sometimes seek for #attention and #validation to make us feel good about ourselves without realizing that our feelings are valid. We may have experienced childhood pain/trauma that we are unconsciously aware of or may have intentionally buried and avoid addressing.
The pain/trauma often leaves us with a void that makes us seek for everything outside of ourselves in order to "feel" good but not be good to ourselves. Understand that when you do not receive the validation you are seeking, you end up becoming disappointed.
Thus acquiring more pain in the #process. Understand that your #feeling is valid but you have to explore what you are feeling in order to uncover what the feeling is teaching you about yourself.
