10 Ways to Begin to Learn to Love Yourself

Loving yourself begins with a journey to self-discovery; learning about what makes you unique. It is the power to connect with your true essence; getting to know and understand who you are. Defining your core values and identifying your life goals and purpose. It’s is about mastering your life and journey.

What you can do is as follows:
- Embark on a journey of grieving, healing and forgiveness from all past and painful experiences.
- Acknowledge that you are enough (never allow anyone to tell you otherwise).
- Develop a positive habit of gratitude daily
- Create your own happiness
- Identify your life’s goals and purpose. This will lead to you creating healthy boundaries and requirements for your relationships.
- Celebrate each experience and learn the lessons they bring.
- Never put yourself on the back burner. You are a priority and not an option.
- Stop pleasing others and leaving yourself to take the hit. You cannot serve anyone from an empty cup. You have to fill your cup to overflowing before you can share the overflow with others.
- Stop wishing and start doing. Eliminate procrastination and be willing to take risks that will lead to your growth. Get professional help to learn how to get unstuck.
- Stop holding on to thoughts that do not move you ahead in your journey.
