Muhammad Ali was a legend who stood as the greatest of all times in the boxing ring. His quotes however teach us life lessons we all can hold on to and learn from.
Greatness is achieved when you sow seeds of love in others through kindness and goodness alone. Greatness is all about becoming closer to God in life.
“Truly great people in history never wanted to be great for themselves. All they wanted was the chance to do good for others and be close to God.”
Charity work should not be discussed in public. Whatever you do must be done without expecting anything in return…not even praise from the public.
“I try not to speak about all the charities and people I help because I believe we can only be generous when we expect nothing in return.”
Victory in life is never based on materialism.
“The greatest victory in life is to rise above material things that we once valued most.”
Wealth is defined through self-awareness, love and spirituality.
“My wealth is in my knowledge of self, love and spirituality.”
Never give up or look back.
“No one starts out at the top. You have to work your way up. Some mountains are higher than others, some roads are steeper than the next. There are hardships and setbacks, but you can let them stop you. Even on the steepest road, you must not turn back. You must keep going up. In order to reach the top of the mountain, you have to climb every rock.”
True meaning of friendship cannot be taught but learned.
“Friendship is the hardest thing in the world to explain. It’s not something you learn in school but if you haven’t learned the meaning of friendship, you really haven’t learned anything.”
Everything is possible.
“Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they’ve been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It’s an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It’s a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing.”
Life is not about what we do for ourselves but for God and others. We must learn to see possibilities in impossible situation. We must be willing to learn through relationship building and friendships.
We can rise by focusing on starting from the bottom and helping each other climb the mountains, walk the steeper roads, push through hardships and climb every rock we face.
Giving up is not an option.
We must not focus on materialism but on becoming wealthy by investing in others, learning to gain a deep understanding and knowledge of self, loving others unconditionally and connecting with our spirituality to become closer to God daily.
Life can only be lived once. We must continue to do good, live right and become great through our kind acts of love towards others, sharing goodness and never expecting praises or anything in return for the good we do.
These are life lessons to live by for everyone. Let us make the world a better place by holding on to these words.
